Well, at least according to CNNMoney.com, which ranked "Software Engineer" as the best occupation, with a gaudy 46% growth rate over the next ten years.

Software engineering, in the right job, is definitely one of the best occupations.

Some of their points for some occupations are odd, though. They give pharmacists a B for the creativity. From what I've read from pharmacy forums, I think that B may be way too high. Also, environmental scientist growth/decline is highly dependent on the current political climate.
