Gristmill has conveniently compiled a list of refutations to hundreds of the frequently-heard excuses for denying global warming in "How to Talk to a Climate Skeptic".

From "There is no consensus" to "They predicted global cooling in the 1970s" to "Natural emissions dwarf human emissions" (all of which I've heard), it's all there.

I bet the folks in Colorado don't believe in global warming this year. :)

It would be nice if they'd explain net global temperature on television (since tv is where most Americans seem to get their education).

People are also so selective about day to day weather. If it gets cold, they scream about global warming not being real. They quickly forget about last winter, when we had no rain for 150 days in a row, massive grass fires, and the balmy, shorts and t-shirt weather.
