Pick your favorite song on The Beatles' album, "Abbey Road":

Yes, you have to pick just one. Unless you come back tomorrow.

Comments: Abbey Road Poll

Factoid about me. Abbey Road was the FIRST record I ever got, ever. I was three years old, my "uncle" Jack and "aunt" Barbara gave it to me, and I played it on my fisher price record player, over and over.

Yes, I know it deals with some pretty...heavy stuff, but I'm still convinced it's one of the best childrens albums ever.

You, in turn, will be pleased to hear that Morrissey's "Your Arsenal" tour was my first concert ever.

The choices don't line up with the selections on the poll page.

I voted "Here Comes the Sun" and got put on "I Want You (She's So Heavy)"

Bubba:

I mistyped that one in the poll's back-end, but fixed it in the front. Alas, I cannot edit it after publishing.

Why did you pick "Abbey Road" to do this poll about (and not, say, the White Album)?

I had a hard time choosing between "You never give me your money" and "maxwell's silver hammer". Went for "money" in the end.

Max:

I was listening to it this weekend. Also, I had remembered what you said about liking every song and, frankly, disagreed. I love some of them, like others and the rest I can do without (Octopus's Garden, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Oh Darling, I Want You). Strangely, the four songs I don't like are consecutive.

Jerry:

That's what I chose. Oddly enough, I don't like Maxwell's Silver Hammer.

I don't think it's "strange" that the four songs you don't like are consecutive. The album certainly has a flow to it that you might not like sections of.

For the record, I picked "You Never Give Me Your Money" also. I love the part... "One sweet dream... pack up your bags, get in the limousine..."

Poor Paul... How could he go from writing that to losing millions of dollars in a divorce?

Pussy-whipped moron. WHat can I say.

Morrissy, "Your Arsenal" at the Paramount Theater (MSG) was the first musical event that I went to sans parents.

Maybe I'm feeling deja vu, but I think we discussed this before -- that we were probably at the same show and didn't realize it. I think it's also the first time I smelled pot.

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
