I've tweaked choonkeat's Newsmasher Greasemonkey script (via Lifehacker) to have a prettier UI.

After installing it, you will see a translucent "del.icio.us" box in the top-left corner of your screen. Clicking on that box opens an absolutely-positioned DIV with an IFRAME inside it, showing the linkbacks.

Here's a screenshot of it in action:

There are two kinds of people who read this website: those who think this is pretty cool and those who don't have the slighest idea what the fuck I'm talking about.

I'm in the second category. Unless you are talking about he/shes on American Idol, world politics, or your cats I'm usually totally lost! I still should get an "A" for effort though.

Yeah, I was referring to this post in particular, because there were too many obscure tech concepts layered on top of each other and I was too lazy to explain them.

yeah, i don't know what language you're speaking half the time, but the rest makes up for it.

Don't forget the third kind of person, the kind that haven't the slightest idea what the fuck you're talking about, but think it's pretty cool.

That's a subset of the second group.

...how about those who understand what you're saying; but doesn't quite see the ultimate coolness of DIV+iframe..?

Suits the job perfectly, and is undoubtfully useful; but personally, I'd say 'cool' is stretching it a bit...

But then again, it did make me think of other uses for it.. ('it' being the DIV+iframe combo...)

Hmm. I guess I stand corrected. I figured it was a pretty novel use of DIV/IFRAME, opacity, Greasemonkey and del.icio.us. I know I was surprised that I hadn't heard of it earlier.

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
