If the Media Doesn't Report It, Did It Really Happen?

For most people, no.

I'm still scratching my head about why every time a cute white girl disappears, we get extensive coverage, but when there is a suicide bomber outside a stadium filled with tens of thousands of Americans, the silence is deafening.

Props, Karol.

Yeah, we're all wondering why a suicide bomber (breaking windows that are over 100 feet away when he asplodes) isn't news.

It just doesn't make sense to me; you'd think that even the "liberal" (i.e. anti-Bush, pro-Democrat) media would promote it as an example of how bad Homeland Security is.

I kept expecting CNN.com to have their big red background "BREAKING NEWS" bit over that. What the hell?

"*He was seen at the same mosque as Zacarias Moussaoui."

Wow...

Maybe they needed a body count to justify a story?

I'd also like to point out that, on this day:

*Bush gives a speech to try to boost support (which is now pretty low) for operations in Iraq.

*News media is reporting that there is a specific threat against the NYC subway system from terrorists in *Iraq*.

That's a coincidence that Bush really needed to support his case!

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
