This works; I used it a few months ago. To say it was a huge help is an understatement.

That's why you should never delete anything. You can put over a terabyte of RAID storage in your house on a UPS for less than a grand. (8 x 250GB @ raid5+2 gives about one and a half TB for a grand including case, PS, controller, and install.)

one thousand gig. That's one thousand DVD's at 780p resolution or better. Make it 500 DVD's and use the rest for documents and mp3's and your pr0n archive.

Eh, I delete shit that:

* I'll never use again (e.g. an installer EXE for a freeware product that sucked)
* I don't want other people to get at (e.g. if I download a funny video at work)
* will clutter my hard drive (I'm a bit of a neat freak)
* will make searching more time consuming (all the, um, media files have made Windows Find even worse)
