Two classic sports titles for the Nintendo Entertainment System, which included real players.

The NFL has only two active players who appeared in Tecmo Bowl: wide receiver Jerry Rice and punter Sean Landetta.

RBI Baseball is down to one active Major League Baseball player: pitcher Roger Clemens. Catcher Benito Santiago and pitcher John Franco played earlier this year, but have since been cut from their rosters.

Comments: Tecmo Bowl and RBI Baseball

Check out the copyright dates on the games (1989 and 1991 for Tecmo and Super Tecmo, respectively - don't know about RBI).

Now, what if you contemplated the same question about an NBA game (Bulls v. Lakers out in 1992, I'd assume, since the real series was in 1992? Was Bulls v. Lakers the "first" of those b-ball games?)?

Who's still in the NBA, in other words? (thinking)... Not many guys.

Yeah, and Bulls-Lakers (which was actually the second title in the series) had only the 8 playoff teams and 2 all-star rosters.
