10 years ago: In Washington, D.C. for the first time, interning for the star-crossed Arlen Specter '96 campaign after my freshman year of college. (Fuck you, Karol; he rocks.) I hooked up with a lot of hot chicks and learned that (1) I didn't want to work in politics and (2) I didn't want to work at a job where I'd have to wear a suit in the summer. So, even though Arlen got his ass handed to him in the primaries, and Dole subsequently lost, I would say it was a successful internship.

5 years ago: I was at my first real programming job, a typically profit-eschewing dot com, working for the most smug boss I've ever met.

1 year ago: I was finishing up my fourth, and final, year at Matrix and coming to the realization that it was time to move on, and go somewhere that I could learn more.

Yesterday: Chilling at home, reading, cooking, hanging by the pool, taking it easy, until ... at 4am ... my work pager goes off and I spend the rest of the morning trying to figure out why our server keeps going down.

Today: Tired. Working. Tired.

Tomorrow: Working. Hopefully less tired.

5 snacks I enjoy: Green olives with the pits still in them. Pakoras (Indian vegetable fritters). Juicyfruit gum, for the split-second the flavor lasts. Nectarines. Herring.

5 bands that I know the lyrics of MOST of their songs: None; I'm terrible at remembering lyrics. I don't remember them incorrectly, mind you, I just would be hard pressed to sing/rap along with an a capella version of my favorite songs.

5 things I would do with $100,000,000: Retire. Sleep. Regain enough creativity to think of 3 more things.

5 locations I'd like to run away to: I can't think of 5 right now, but I'd love to teleport back to Sevilla or Fiji right now.

5 bad habits I have: Sloth. Gluttony. Lust. Using profanity. Ignoring things that bore me.

5 things I like doing: Sex. Blogging. Coding. Playing with pets. Eating.

5 things I would never wear: Umm ... I don't give a fuck about clothes.

5 famous people I'd like to meet: So many. Too tired to pick 5 right now.

5 biggest joys at the moment: Sleep. Miju and Peeps. Pam. That I haven't run out of Law & Order: SVU episodes to watch.

5 favorite toys: I think my X-box is the only toy I have.
