Two Thoughts on the Wizards' Off-Season

I'm glad Hughes went to Cleveland ... there is no one on earth who'll be saying, a year from now, that he's worth $14 million a year of cap space.

God, I hope the Hawks or Knicks are stupid enough to take Kwame Brown; I'm guessing Isiah Thomas will be dumb enough to do it, but Atlanta can offer more money.

Comments: Two Thoughts on the Wizards' Off-Season

Hey, taking Kwame would look brilliant, when compared to Isiah's recent legacy (most notably, the inexplicable Malik-Rose-for-Nazr-Mohamed move).

Maybe Kwame would get re-energized and re-focused in the Big Apple (like Alonzo did in Miami).

At this point, my love for my Knicks (as I'm sure many other Knicks fans feel) is like the remaining embers of a dying fire. Isiah's poking and prodding at that spent pile of wood hasn't rekindled anything. Any potential sparks are appreciated at this point.

No way Kwame Brown is rejuvenated in NYC (if that actually happens). Much like a dying fire, you need more wood for the fire - sparks just won't cut it. Perfect analogy max. Allan Houston is the clogged damper plate on the fireplace that is the Knicks. Clearing that jam will allow the fire the grow instead of choking the organization down. Trading in a few of the medium sized pieces (the gluttony of PF's on the roster) of wood for a nice big log (solid C) would certainly help the fire burn brighter.

Man that is a stretched analogy.

Anyhow, it didn't rejuvenate Vin Baker, who'd shown he could be an all-star in the past.

If Kwame couldn't handle the critics in DC, he'll wilt in NY. No way it'll be like Jermaine O'Neal's move from POrtlant to Indy.
