Teaneck High School Class of 1995 Reunion

Looks a bit more hoppin' than mine was.
It's interesting how little of a correlation there is between hot at 17 and hot at 27.
It's also crazy how quickly some people have aged in appearance (grey hair, baldness, weight gain).
No offense, but the rate at which you use the word "hot" to describe females might have one surmise that you are a 17 year old blogger.

I enjoy looking at attractive women; I make no apologies and I don't think it's a sign of immaturity.
Sorry if I don't conform to your puritan ideals. >:)
Posted by: Joe Grossberg on May 26, 2005 11:52 AM | permalinkI was actually in NJ last weekend (Eric graduated) and decided not to go to this thing. Mostly because I didn't hang with most of those people, and I could think of about a million better ways to blow $120 in an evening.
I think I probably made the right decision.
Where did you get access to these albums?
Posted by: j on May 26, 2005 12:24 PM | permalinkWant to echo j's question. Other than Sean Milano (who's in just about every pic) and Jared Koeppel, I don't recognize a single person in any of the photos.
Is there anything on the web like that for our class?
Posted by: max on May 26, 2005 12:39 PM | permalinkHey Max!
Didn't you notice Elissa Kadison in about 1/2 of the shots?
I think I only know them because they were in my class.
And, I'm not going to name names, but will echo Joe's sentiments about cute at 17 meaning nothing at 27. Cough.
Posted by: j on May 26, 2005 12:47 PM | permalinkThere is a disproportionate number with Sean Milano and his posse because those are his albums, forwarded via IM by Ami B., a mutual friend.
Posted by: Joe Grossberg on May 26, 2005 1:23 PM | permalinkNothing puritan, my point is just that someone with a degree in anthropology from Johns Hopkins should be slobbering over the opposite sex with words more sophisticated than "hot." ;)
Posted by: O'dell on May 26, 2005 1:23 PM | permalinkEh, like all colleges, people were mostly concerned with less intellectual pursuits.
Posted by: Joe Grossberg on May 26, 2005 2:36 PM | permalinkI recognized a lot of those people. You must have recognized Jonas Abramson. Also if you didn't, I'll bet you wish you recognized Audrey G.
Also I want everyone with a vested interest to look at album 2, pic 10 in the background at Josh Reinitz.
I think my reunion will be fun. At the very least I'll get to see Danny Grossberg again. The tall version, no less.
Posted by: ChuckJerry on May 26, 2005 5:45 PM | permalinkHa ... Josh looks like John Kruk.
Audrey definitely gets "most improved" or "most slept on" she looks awesome these days.
Here's some Filowitz for you: http://www.kodakgallery.com/PhotoView.jsp?&collid=768036925203&photoid=272637925203
I don't want to talk shit about people by name in my blog, so I'll leave that part alone ...
Danny Bosshardt was the obligatory "damn, he grew!" guy at mine ... I kinda wish I'd gone, but it was the weekend after I already came up for July 4, and that is too much travel for my taste.
Posted by: Joe Grossberg on May 26, 2005 6:58 PM | permalinkI don't regret having a prom. I don't regret leaving that dungeon on the hill. The only thing I regret is wondering about all those people 10 years down the line, knowing that I'd never have a reunion to get called to.
Not that I loved most of the people I went to school with. But it is nice to reminisce and see who's who and what's turned into what (esp. the hot chicks - just figured I'd interject some male cheavanism for the fun of it !!!)
I've run into the occasional person(s) on the NJ Transit 167 school-bus commute into New York (when I was a part of that rat race...) Hell, I merely bumped into Joe at a mutual friend's awkward event not long ago...
It was good to see them (well, some of them.) I remain curious as to how others have turned out. Some of the faces in the pics are very familiar - others are completely out there...
- Did I catch Darren Z in a few of those?
- There are one brunette, two blondes and a tall black guy who seem to be the themes of most of the pics (I'll avoid using some more descriptive adjectives.) - can somene tell me their names?
- There's also another long-haired brunette in Album 2, pics 39-41...
Oddly enough, I pulled out my old yearbooks a few months ago...
It's a small world (when the Feds aren't looking for you...)
So - who else wants to join the "Teaneck-Connect-The-Blogs" ring ??? :)

That's actually the class after ours ('95).
The chick is Audrey, the one I said is looking beautiful these days.
If you want to see a photo of our class reunion, the only online album I know of is from Carlos "Tony" Jativa: http://www.ofoto.com/I.jsp?c=9qqqqki.15taeqwy&x=1&y=-p0zr4m
Posted by: Joe Grossberg on May 27, 2005 7:28 AM | permalinkSee, and those pictures are exactly why I didn't really want to go.
I'd much rather remember Josh as a full head of haired cutie (he was really cute in grade school too.)
A couple of the chicks are flat out fugly. One is so bad, I can't even remember who she is, though she looks vaguely familiar.
It also appears that if I had gone, I would have been one of the few who has actually lost weight since high school - and I have (at least I think so) much better hair now than I did then.
Posted by: j on May 27, 2005 9:40 AM | permalinkWell gee, then - that explains why I didn't recognize MOST of the faces (whack in head !!!) I knew some, however, since my brother is Class of '96 and I always hang out with a group that broke all barriers (of classes, years + normalcy.)
It's good to see Tony - haven't seen him in years. Lived 3 blocks away (Jeff was 4 blocks.)
How time flies when life... well, time flies...
Posted by: Andrew on May 27, 2005 10:08 AM | permalinkYeah a few of them chicks are "teh hawt omgwtfbbq!!1!!one!!1eleven" ;-)
(hows that for 17 year old?)
didn't realize Joe is that young either...
