OK, guys, we get it: TV remotes are too complicated.

And, yes, VCRs blink "12:00" all the time.

And, yes, as O'dell pointed out, we've heard of watches so complicated that you can't figure out how to set (or tell) the time.

I would imagine that cell phones that do everything except make phone calls are coming soon.

I assure you, no one in your audience hasn't heard that joke yet.

I'm not saying a topic's off-limits once it's well-discussed; I'm saying you need to add something new to the existing commentary.

Now Foxtrot joins the act. Previously, I dissed Dilbert for it.
