No More "Public Service" AdSense

If you're using Google's AdSense service, I highly recommend looking into the Amazon/Google Ad Replacement. Some of my most popular entries have had stupid World Wildlife Fund banners because the content was dicey. Now I can make money off of them again.

Unlike the author of BetterSearch, this guy uses his own Amazon associates ID as the default, but lets you change it — a much more sensible appreach.

Comments: No More "Public Service" AdSense

I was thinking of doing something along that way - but I think making it look like adwords has a negative effect - people learned to ignore those already.

I have a random list of amazon items that I've mentioned in my blog rotate randomly - so far to almost no clickthroughs and no purchases it looks like.

Yeah, it's always a balance between ads that stand out enough that they get clicked, while not letting them be garish or distracting.

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
