Inauguration Day ... and I Forgot My Camera

These guys — the group formerly known as ReDefeat Bush — are down the block from my work, playing music and giving speeches.

There was a really cool two-bus roadblock when I came out of the Metro.

Also, the tourists on the Metro were complete, inconsiderate assholes. Yes, I know DC is confusing and the big city is scary, but if you're confused get the fuck out of everyone's way, while you figure out what you're doing!

Alas, I didn't bother bringing my camera, so you'll just have to take my word for all of it.

"get the fuck out of everyone's way"... with ambassadors like you, no wonder they still keep coming. lol.

In Australia, we simply roll down down the windows and shout - you have to do this with the proper strine accent - "Bloody tourists!"

I was about to say, knowing what people in DC are like, if the *tourists* are inconsiderate, I'd hate to visit wherever it is they originate.

However, I think Alan nailed it...

It's funny you mention Australia because I remember reading a Letter to the Editor in the Sydney Morning Herald that was complaining about how all the Asian tourists tended to walk on the right side of sidewalks, hallways, staircases, etc. and inconvenienced the Aussies. :)

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
