Oh, that's sweet: the Ku Klux Klan distributed flyers throughout Louisville, Kentucky, including my parents' freaking driveway, as part of a membership drive.

Honestly, we're quickly approaching rolling back the Enlightment.

Can you enlighten me on how the KKK got the fliers in the papers without the papers' knowledge? Maybe I skimmed over the article too quickly to follow the logic.

Also, who is this Bernard Faller they are quoting? Some local guy?

1) I would imagine they went around after the papers were delivered and then stuck their flyers into the bags.

2) Ho yes.

Actually, the fact that an odious, marginal political group is facing criticism in a public forum such as this rather than jail, torture and execution suggests to me that the Enlightenment is doing just fine.

Per Max's question, the article says that they used various old publications and stuck the flyer inside to give enough "heft" to fling onto driveways. Looks like they raided the recycling bin and created a fake paper for driveways.

When groups shrink, they need to have membership drives, so it's probably a good sign. Plus what Rutter said.

I'd like to see a parody song about the KKK to the tune of "Born in the USA".
