Terrell Owens' Sin: Miscegenation

update Negrophile links to a more extensive discussion of racist double standards.
I'm glad that I wasn't the only one who picked up on the racial angle of the recent Monday Night Football controversy.
I'm not saying that it was the entirety of the controversy, but when you have implied sex between a big, strapping black man and a blonde white woman (and one who currently plays an black man's lover on a hit TV show about horny and unfaithful wives), it can make people that much less comfortable.
That kinda shit might make the Monday Night Football crowd wonder just what it is their wives do, while the husbands are ignoring them in favor of the TV.
I do wonder what would have happened if the races of Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson were reversed during last year's Superbowl halftime show; something tells me that a white woman wouldn't have borne the brunt of criticism for a black man ripping off her top.
Nail - meet Hammer.
You hit the proverbial nail on the head with that one. There's no doubt in my mind that had the races been reversed in the super bowl halftime show, the male would have gotten the brunt of the criticism and the woman let off easy.
Hypocracy is rampant in this government and it's too bad most of america are idiots and voted that moron back into office.

I know that people at my work were talking about it, and I really don't think that Owens being black is much of the issue. Maybe I'm naive.

Also that second paragraph seems to be a blatant sentence fragment. Unless I'm reading it wrong.
