In 2004? In England? Yep, as programmer-blogger Simon Willison found out, first hand.

Comments: The Mumps

The mumps is not uncommon. Most children get it -- if you haven't had it as a child, you REALLY should get immunized against it as it can cause sterility, at least in men.

I got vaccinated as a child about a million times; I guess I should get around to a doctor's appointment some time. I'm way behind on that kinda checkup.

CDC has guidelines on all this stuff. View at http://www.cdc.gov/nip/recs/adult-schedule.pdf

For MMR shot, says one dose between 19 and 49, only if childhood history is unreliable. You do need updates on teatanus and stuff every 10 yrs.

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
