Someone needs to let Bill Frist know that browbeating Senators to approve any judicial nominees that the President picks is, well, un-American.

A "big tent", indee — everyone's welcome, so long as they march in lockstep with the Party.

(Full disclosure: I once interned on an Arlen Specter Campaign, as a college freshman.)

Comments: Separation of Powers

"Bush is expected to have a chance to fill multiple Supreme Court vacancies during his second term, and for many in Bush's conservative base, obtaining a court that would overturn Roe v. Wade is a top priority."

So, is this reversal of progression a temporary trend or permanent? Canada is starting to look better by the minute. I guess I'll have a better idea in a few years when I am actually able to leave the country (which relatively easy to do with a college degree).

Well, the thing is, Rehnquist is the first to go -- and he's already an arch-conservative -- so at least one Bush appointment will make no difference.

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
