No, Kerry's Pen Is Not a Big Deal

Apparently, Kerry took a pen out of his coat pocket, which was a violation of the debate rules.
Bear in mind that he didn't actually write anything with the pen.
LGF higlights a reader's claim that:
It's sad that we've reached a place in our society where people can actually argue that a presidential candidate cheating in a debate isn't a big deal and anyone who cares about it is nit-picking, ankle-biting, or (insert your term here).
I think it's sad that we've reached the point where people choose to focus on the most minimal, obscure infraction of debate rules, instead of, you know, important things — like the candidates' foreign policies.
I didn't hear all of the debate, but all they seemed to speak about was foreign policy... I think we should be hearing more about domestic issues. We seem more interested in fucking with the rest of the world than we are solving our own issues.

The *theme* of that debate was foreign policy. The economy, domestic issues, etc. will be addressed in the subsequent debates.

I'm willing to bet that there will be too much off topic foreign discussion in the upcoming debates.

The hypocrisy was literally seething through my TV.
Unbelievable.
