Team USA improved the weakest part of their game, shooting an excellent 55% for 3-point range (twice what they'd done during the qualifying rounds) and beat previously-undefeated Spain.
Also, Spanish forward Carlos Jimenez needs to do something about that awful balding pattern. Granted it's not a flattering angle, and I know he's only 28, but he needs to make like Karl Malone or Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and do a pre-emptive shaving.
Watched the second half this morning, and USA actually looked like a team that was comfortable playing against a zone. Of course, hitting lots of jump shots will do that for a team, but they did seem more confident than in the last couple of games. Hope it continues.
Anyway, did you see the Spanish player with the ungodly hairy shoulders? It was perhaps the most unnecessarily disgusting thing I've seen on TV all year.
