The US, EU and Japan have agreed to reduce their ridiculous farm subsidies, per last week's WTO agreement.

I'm just surprised that two of your last three posts have contained the phrase 'agri-business'.

Who the hell knew what that was before you brought it up?

It's an awkward phrase, but it's shorter than:

"Big Evil Corporations that happen to be in food-related industries."

Given the number of interests involved, I'm amazed that any agreement was reached at all, but I'm not holding my breath for the announcement of what they call "a credible end date".
