update Here is the obligatory cute baby photo taken by Matt, of his sons.

Earlier, I mentioned that I would have photos from our July 4 trip.

I don't.

Why?

No reason at all, except that my writing, like my photography, is governed by my muse.

I had an awesome time, saw people and places that I missed and had ample opportunity for pictures of cute toddlers.

But I just didn't feel like breaking out the digicam, for whatever reason.

And, like all artists ... cough ... I don't want to force it.

So, no, there's no rational explanation at all as to why I don't have pictures of my old stomping grounds and the friends I grew up with. In fact, I kinda wish I would have taken them and I even had the camera with me. Lesson learned.

I still won't feel a sense of obligation about what to write; but I should take pics to stash away on my hard drive in case I change my mind.
