After reading Kasia's mishap with a cron script, I laughed at her rookie mistake.

And then I looked at my own crontab, which included lines such as:

* 7 * * * ... scripts/syndicateCIMH.py

So, at 7 am every day, I created the RSS feed for The Creatures in My Head. And then at 7:01. And at 7:02. And on and on, until 8 am.

Now it's the more sensible:

0 7 * * * ... scripts/syndicateCIMH.py

Which leads me to the number one rule of crontab:

Leading asterisks are evil.
