For the first time in a while (2.5 years, which seems like a very long time), I'm looking for a new apartment.

Why am I moving? Noise and filth on the part of my neighbors, incompetence on the part of management.

Why'd I stay put so long, if it sucked? Short commute to work, amenities (central heat/air, diswasher, washer/dryer in unit) and, most of all, rent (under $800 for a one-bedroom place is a goddamn steal around here).

But I've finally got some loot saved up and I'd like to be Metro-accessible so it's easier for Pam (who has no car) to come visit. Plus, the place I'm looking at is much nicer and has lots of young professionals.
