Man, this is a big country.
Current temp. in Grand Forks, ND: -31°F (feels like -57°).
And in Miami, FL it's 63°F (feels like 63°).
A full 94° difference in the contiguous 48 states. Wow.
And it's not the elevation — true, Miami is only 8 feet above sea level, but Grand Forks is 844 feet, about one-sixth of a mile high.
My relatives just came from Puerto Rico, a self-governing commonwealth of the US, where it was 85°F. On their flight back to Seattle, they stopped in Chicago, where it was 5°F, a full 80° difference. Crazy.
