Random Thoughts on the Democratic Candidates

If John Kerry becomes president, will Republicans whine that "It's all about the keeeeetchup!"?

If John Edwards wins the nomination, what will political cartoonists do? How do you do a caricature of a guy that bland-looking?

Why did Gephardt drop out without endorsing anyone? Is he hoping not to jump the gun, like Carol Moseley Braun did with her early nod to Dean?

I hope Sharpton and Kucinich stick it out to the end. Much as I disagree with their stands on the issues, I like their bombast and earnestness, respectively.

Does Kerry stand a ghost chance in hell down south?

Comments: Random Thoughts on the Democratic Candidates

Heh, if Kerry is president, it will be about something... He's worth something like $625 million, making him the richest congressman.

And if we look more at his wife, it's about Jewry, in addition to keeeetchup:

"Her human rights work as an original member and later co-chair of the Congressional Wives for Soviet Jewry drew more than a dozen awards from the Jewish community including the Israel Service Award and the Community Service Human Rights Award from the American Jewish Committee."

Oh yeah, one thing really bugs me about Kerry's wife. In 1995, her husband, a senator, died in a plane crash. Next thing you know, she's married to *another* senator. There are only ever 100 senators at any time. How many of them are unmarried at any given moment? One is more likely to wed a model, actor/actress, or musician than a senator!

Actually Senator Heinz died in 1992, and Kerry married the widowed Mrs. Heinz in 1995. So it's not exactly "next thing you know." :)
