NBA All Star Picks

update Upon further consideration, I'd pick Stephon Marbury to be the West PG. I'm not gonna ballot-stuff and vote again, though.

Here are my votes for the 2004 NBA All Star game:

East
PF – Jermaine O'Neal
SF – Ron Artest
C – Ben Wallace
PG – Baron Davis
SG – Allen Iverson

West
PF – Tim Duncan
SF – Kevin Garnett
C – Shaquille O'Neal
PG – Emanuel Ginobili Stephon Marbury
SG – Kobe Bryant

What's weird, though, is that the ballot is way out of date. They have Antoine Walker listed as a Celtic, but he was traded before the season even began.

Go ahead and diss the Manu pick; he's had a great half-season. If I had to pick someone else, though, it'd be Stephon Marbury.

Ginobili over Nash at PG? Bibby? Even Payton? Questionable, Joey.

Ginobili: 13.5 ppg 5.1 rpg 4.5 apg 2.1 spg
Nash: 14.4 ppg 3.1 rpg 7.8 apg 0.7 spg
Payton: 13.9 ppg 3.4 rpg 6.6 apg 1.6 spg
Bibby: 16.8 ppg 3.5 rpg 5.5 apg 1.0 spg

Yes, I know stats aren't everything but I don't think it's so outlandish, though he's not really a PG. I've changed my mind and gone with Marbury, though:

Marbury 20.3 ppg 3.4 rpg 8.4 apg 1.8 spg

I'd pick Pierce over AI (injured, still takes awful shots) and Carter over Artest (I know he's the popular pick and all, but he is having a great season).

I also find it funny that they're still listing Ben Wallace at C.

No more comments! Either someone has violated Godwin's Law, I'm tired of the discussion or, most likely, the ten-week window has closed. You can, however, contact me through email.
