Al Jazeera: Antisemitism via Satellite

update Maybe this anti-Semitic cartoon makes it clearer. Note the lack of even a nod towards characterizing the subject as an Israeli, not a Jew.
The "Arab CNN" returns from the ass-whipping hackers gave it, and this poll is on the front page of Al Jazeera's English-language website:

Amazingly, 1/4 of the respondents believe that "Israel's interests" were the number one reason for the war in Iraq.
And this is the English-speaking, literate, relatively wealthy (they have access to the internet, after all) segment of the Arab world (their core audience). I can scarcely imagine what the numbers would be among the poorer and less-educated.
Oh, wait, I forgot — they're not blaming the "Jews"; they're blaming "Israel" a.k.a. "the Zionists".
Hey, don't forget that there are people like Tom Delay (the puppet pushing for redistricting in TX) who are part of a "Christian Zionist" movement.
I think Delay made a comment recently that he thought a self-ruling Palestine would be a "terroist state." Several Houston area lawmakers scrambled to try to put out that fire.
There are probably more non-Jews in the US who support Israel than Jews, simply because they are less 2% of the population.
But, getting to the point, of course they meant "Jews."

My basic point is this -- Al Jazeera put three options:
1) The primary reason as laid forth by the US/British-led coalition.
2) The most common contrarian view -- that it's about the oil.
and
3) That it's the fault of a nation who wasn't involved and, coincidentally happens to be the one non-Muslim state between Morocco and Pakistan.
