Looking at John's modest revenue numbers, I'm debating whether or not I should incorporate relatively non-intrusive advertising (not pop-up windows or banner ads) on my site.

Joe, I think we're all tossing over the idea. Hell, if it keeps you producing content, go for it. You can now adjust to the colors so they don't look like ass :D.

Yes, it was that inflexible design schemes that led me to drop the custom Google search back when I used blog*spot.

I've got some redesigning to do anyway, as you can see (scroll down on my front page).

I liked John's approach and may put the adwords up top, in that "white" space to the right of my name.
