The Dancing Guy in Hackensack

Dozens of times, I drove through a major intersection near my hometown of Teaneck, NJ, and saw a lanky black dude getting down to the music on his headphones.

Now I know the answer to a nagging question — exactly what was he listening to?
With nothing but a Walkman and a thing for Tina Turner, 39-year-old James Roberson has been entertaining drivers in Hackensack for as long as he remembers. Ten years, maybe 20. He can't recall exactly. Two or three times a week, sometimes for hours at a time. Singing and dancing, twisting and shouting, with rush-hour traffic for an audience.
The Bergen Record gives us an excellent feature article on the dude who dances on River Street in Hackensack.

I remember that dude! I thought he was crazy, that there wasn't even any music.

When Bernie saw him, he told me that would be the next fad...

i work right across the street at Sears. Almost every day i see the dancing man dancing along with so much happiness. but to me it looks like he never gets tired. My friends and i always see him and he usually goes away during the winter so we wait till the nice weather comes out to see the dancing man again.

I've seen the dancing man too, and i know "Andrea" who posted the last comment, and you know what?? THEY'RE BOTH CRAZY!!!....
but not as crazy as I, who's crazily in love with Andrea and want to marry her and spend the rest of my life with,
i also love the dancing man's dancing and aim to lead a life of similar "street-entertainment" as i like to call it, aside from the regular dancing i do at the local chip-n-dales,
thank u n goodbye, i love u Andrea muah!!!

I haven't seen the dancing guy in awhile, I heard a terrible rumor that he died, is that true? Would he get pissed if i danced with him? Not to make fun of him, but just to share the love of music...
