I think it's humorous, more than anything else. It's about half a mile from my apartment, and it's a regular street sign. Except there is no street. On either side. It's got a small house on one side and the lawn of an apartment complex on the other. Maybe there used to be a street there, many years ago, and the byzantine government bureaucracy wouldn't allocate the money to adjust their documents and remove the sign.
