Minimal Verbosity put together a fun PHP hack that will let you make your own buttons on the fly. The source code is available, and very readable.

Then Adam Kalsey created an HTML interface (including color selector). Very sweet.

Very nice stuff, even though the longer words could use some kerning (i.e. making the letters closer together) and I'm partial to ones that use logos/images for the left box, like my PayPal button, currently on top of Taylor's unofficial compendium. I'm also glad to see Taylor's added links to the buttons.
