update Simon Willison points to a wiki discussing several ways of doing three-column layouts in CSS. Checky has a simple, well-formatted, three-column one, but is otherwise very ugly.

update The redesign was done by SimpleBits.

Note to self: you *can* have a three-column layout, using CSS instead of tables, that works cross-browser. Fast Company has done it.

I have been using CSS to create a three-column layout for more than year now. For the most part, I works well.
