Seven Deadly Sins

ANGER
1. Who did you last get angry with? Myself
2. What is your weapon of choice? Words
3. Would you hit a member of the opposite sex? If I had to defend myself (e.g. she's got a weapon).
4. How about of the same sex? See above.
5. Who was the last person who got really angry at you? Pam.
6. What is your pet peeve? People who show no respect for others, e.g guys who defacate in public bathrooms and don't wash their hands afterwards.
7. Do you keep grudges, or can you let them go easily? Depending on the offense, I can keep a grudge permanently if I've been shown no reason to change my mind.

SLOTH
1. What is one thing you're supposed to do daily that you haven't done in a while? Work out.
2. What is the latest you've ever woken up? 7pm, after pulling an all-nighter in high school and being impressed with myself. I then decided to take a "nap" at 7am.
3. Name a person you've been meaning to contact, but haven't: The vet and the dentist, to make appointments.
4. What is the last lame excuse you made? I'll do it later.
5. Have you ever watched an infomercial all the way through (one of the long ones...)? Nope. Can't make it.
6. When was the last time you got a good workout in? Wednesday, on the stairmaster.
7. How many times did you hit the snooze button on your alarm clock today? None. It's Sunday.

GLUTTONY
1. What is your overpriced yuppie beverage of choice? No idea. Starbucks mocha frappucino, I guess.
2. Meat eaters: white meat or dark meat? Dark meat.
3. What is the greatest amount of alcohol you've had in one sitting/outing/event? By sheer volume, two 40's back in college.
4. Have you ever used a professional diet company? No.
5. Do you have an issue with your weight? Yes.
6. Do you prefer sweets, salty foods, or spicy foods? Spicy.
7. Have you ever looked at a small housepet or child and thought, "LUNCH"? Umm ... no.

LUST
1. How many people have you seen naked (not counting movies/family)? I plead the fifth.
2. How many people have seen YOU naked (not counting physicians/family)? I plead the fifth.
3. Have you ever caught yourself staring at the chest/crotch of a member of your gender of choice during a normal conversation? Yes.
4. Have you "done it"? Yes.
5. What is your favorite body part on a person of your gender of choice? Do I have to choose just one?
6. Have you ever been propositioned by a prostitute? Yes. Never followed up on their offers.
7. Have you ever had to get tested for an STD or pregnancy? Well, I didn't *have* to, but I have been tested.

GREED
1. How many credit cards do you own?? Only one that I use.
2. What's your guilty pleasure store? Amazon.
3. If you had $1 million, what would you do with it? Nothing, for now. Just invest it.
4. Would you rather be rich, or famous? Rich.
5. Would you accept a boring job if it meant you would make megabucks? Depends on how long and what hours.
6. Have you ever stolen anything? Yes. Most recently, I forgot to pay for bullion cubes at Giant, and didn't notice until I was taking my bags out of the cart. Didn't seem like it was worth the effort to repay.
7. How many MP3s are on your hard drive? About 100. I don't listen to music on my PC that often; and my car stereo refuses to play burned CDs.

PRIDE
1. What's one thing have you done that you're most proud of? Rescuing Miju and Peeps from abandonment and neglect to affection and love.
2. What's one thing have you done that your parents are most proud of? Teaching myself programming. From scratch. At age 23. And being dope at it.
3. What thing would you like to accomplish in your life? Get married, raise kids, and have a happy family life.
4. Do you get annoyed by coming in second place? Depends on the number of competitors. Generally, no.
5. Have you ever entered a contest of skill, knowing you were of much higher skill than all the other competitors? Of course.
6. Have you ever cheated on something to get a higher score? I can't think of any examples right now, but I'm sure I have.
7. What did you do today that you're proud of? Nothing yet. It's early.

ENVY
1. What item (or person) of your friends would you most want to have for your own? Nick's mom's backyard in Scarsdale. Mmmm ... hammock, moss, trees, pool.
2. Who would you want to go on "Trading Spaces" with? Pam. We're on our way there though.
3. If you could be anyone else in the world, who would you be? Permanently, no one. But I think it would be damn fun to be a rock star for a day.
4. Have you ever been cheated on? Not to my knowledge.
5. Have you ever wished you had a physical feature different from your own? Yes.
6. What inborn trait do you see in others that you wish you had for yourself? Can't really think of any. I would say metabolism, but between my ultra-sedentary job and the fact I don't exercise regularly, I can't really blame the genes.
7. Do you wish you'd come up with this survey? No, answering it in full is nerdy enough for me.
8. Finally, what is your favorite deadly sin? Gluttony.

Seven Heavenly Virtues

FAITH
1. What religion do you follow? None
2. What religion were you raised as? Reformed Judaism.
3. Do you believe that forgiveness is a religious property, or a human property? Well, atheists can forgive others, so it's human.
4. Do you believe in magic? Not at all.
5. What was the last promise you broke? That I'd work out.
6. Have you ever said the words to a prayer and not meant it? Yes. Every time I've said anything in temple.
7. Do you believe that anyone could be perfect? No, of course not, though I do give that appellation to pets all the time.

HOPE
1. Did you get everything you wanted over the last holiday season? Sure. I wasn't really expecting anything. The holidays aren't a big deal to me.
2. Regarding your future, what is the best thing you could hope for? To have my relationship with Pam continue to grow.
3. Do you let yourself get your hopes up for something even if you know that there is a large chance of failure? Yes.
5. Have you ever bought a lottery ticket? If so, how close did you come to winning? Never bought any.
6. Do you gamble? If so, what game or activity? Nah. I have played slots and blackjack in casinos a few times.
7. Have you ever had something called off on account of bad weather, but then gone ahead and done it anyway? No.

CHARITY
1. What causes do you support? Civil liberties.
2. What causes have you given money or time to? ACLU, EFF, ASPCA.
3. Have you ever worked in a soup kitchen or done another kind of outreach for the homeless? No.
4. Would you ever consider joining the Peace Corps, Amnesty International, or another travel-inherent worldwide charity group? No.
5. Do you give money to the homeless on the street? Sometimes.
6. Have you ever helped out a friend with basic needs, like rent or food? I don't have any friends who can't afford their rent or food.
7. What's the greatest extent you've gone to help a friend in need? Just being there, emotionally, for Pam with all the stress she's been under lately.

FORTITUDE
1. What are you most afraid of? Bad things happening to people (or animals!) I love.
2. What did you do today that was really brave? Nothin yet.
3. Who is your favorite superhero, and why? Longshot. He has a mullet.
4. Would you put your life in danger to rescue someone? Depends on the danger and the person.
5. If you were to face the Wizard, would you want more courage, more brains, or more heart? More courage.
6. Have you ever gotten stage fright? If so, when? If not, how do you avoid it? No.
7. Do you consider yourself to be a leader or a follower? Neither. Independent.

JUSTICE
1. Have you ever been summoned for jury duty? Were you chosen? No.
2. If they reinstituted the draft (for both genders), would you go, or would find some way out of it? Depends on the war.
3. Do you support capital punishment (the death penalty)? In very rare circumstances, yes.
4. Which should be guaranteed legal: Marijuana
5. Do you believe that Dubya is rightfully President of the USA? Yes. I think you could make a case for him or Gore, but in the end, the Supreme Court gave him the nod.
6. What was your favorite media circus trial? Clinton/Lewinsky.
7. Have you ever written a letter to a politician? No.

TEMPERANCE
1. What do you have the hardest time moderating yourself on? Eating.
2. Do you collect anything? Books, CDs.
3. Are you addicted to anything? Cats.
4. Have you ever put anything on layaway or used an installment plan? Umm ... do my car payments count?
5. What's your preferred method of paying for things? Cash.
6. Tell us one thing you wish you hadn't let yourself do: Poorly treating people who've annoyed me, instead of rising above it and showing more restraint.
7. Do you feel that you obsess over things? Occasionally.

PRUDENCE
1. Who is the wisest person you know? My stepfather.
2. Have you ever participated in a vigil? No.
3. Do you take advice when it's given? Sometimes.
4. What area are you wisest in? Don't know.
5. Do you drive defensively? Yes.
6. Have you ever had unprotected sex outside of marriage? Would you ever? Of course I have. I'm 26.
7. What did you learn today? Not all quizzes suck.
8. And of course, what is your favorite heavenly virtue? Prudence.
