Open Source Web Design
In case you're wondering, this was the starting point for my page design. OSWD is pretty cool IMHO ... doesn't use (much less over-use) images and Flash and is a legit way for people to design their pages without starting from scratch.
On some level, all HTML, JS and CSS is open-source. In fact that's how I was able to get started in programming ... an underrated point in my eyes. Don't know why the open source advocates haven't picked up on it. I suppose it may be that, because of the nature of HTTP, people couldn't easily hide their HTML if they wanted to.
Good for Joel, letting those he criticizes have a chance to respond.
