How about a little optimism ...

Now that there are real problems in the public eye, people realize that it's just a game and the Religious Right has to focus on more pressing issues if they want to be seen as relevant.

Even the elite have to bite the bullet sometimes, and maybe this will get them to drop the whole fight-drugs-with-family-values nonsense.
