So much for that. Yourish.com has been removed from my list of links.
Here's our exchange over email. I haven't heard from her since:

Yes, I did read it. From http://www.yourish.com/contact.html:
"I will link to weblogs that I like and find funny or interesting, or even those I get guilted into linking. I don't mind the occasional email mentioning a specific post or blog. I don't care for an email every day, or several a day. That'll get you into my killfile. But also realize that my weblog is mostly essays. I'm not Instapundit, and don't aspire to be.
My linking posts are irregular and will remain so. But if you're a good writer, and you've got a weblog, chances are pretty high that I'll link to it if it's brought to my attention.
It certainly helps to be writing about things that also interest me, and it would be a mistake not to read a little bit on this weblog to see what those subjects are. An "I Hate Buffy" site? Not a chance. "
I don't see the part about light text on a dark background (which is how Absolute, Metafilter, and Ben Henick do it, not to mention Andrew Sullivan).
If you have specific problems with my blog's readability (font-size too small, font color too close to the background color, font-face should be different, etc.), I'd love to hear them; I'm always looking for ways to improve my site.
Regards,
Joe
I'll post a follow-up if I hear from her, and I'm not gonna get catty, but lots of blogs have light text on a dark background and still look great (and readable). I think that's a silly reason to decline a link back.> You know, this is the wrong way to get a link. You did read my linking
