Not In Our Wallets

Here is a bizarre Capitalist argument against war with Iraq, and here is my genteel response:
Sir:

You have written a 1500 word essay on US-Iraq relations, but mention neither Kuwait nor the Gulf War.

I can understand the purely consumerist argument that it does not matter from whom we purchase our oil, only the price, quantity and quality of it.

However, do you not think that the US and the world have it in their interest to remove a man who has previously demonstrated a willingness to disregard others' property rights, by seizing the land and oil reserves of Kuwait and threatening those of Saudi Arabia?

Joe Grossberg
